Learning & Development Executive

Reporting to Human Resources Manager and forming part of the HR team, the L&D Executive will be responsible to identify training needs and develop cost effective training initiatives in order to achieve the hotels goals and to uplift the guests’ experience.

 You will be responsible to:

•             Co-ordinate and facilitate several training sessions both in classroom set-up and on the job.

•             Support the Heads of Departments and operational coaches with the running of SOP training for their department, ensure consistency and quality of training.

•             Develop a training plan and identify training needs for various department needs.

•             Monitor the hotel’s training budget and ensure all training expenses are kept in line with budget.

•             Always demonstrate genuine concern for guests’ wellbeing.

•             Read and keep abreast to guests’ feedback, and identify potential training needs and action as required.

•             Maintain accurate and up to date records on the training hub and all other systems used.

•             Monitor effectiveness of pre & post training courses, in order to ensure maximum benefit from training provided.

•             Maintain a thorough understanding of all training course content. Coordinate and manage the yearly training calendar and organise training preparation in order to provide correct training inquires.

•             Organize and ensure attendance for training and follow up.

•             Support and work closely to the HR team in HR administrative tasks, as required.

General profile:

 The ideal candidate will be a friendly, caring, dedicated individual willing to put in an extra effort and time as required. You will work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with a multi-cultural team, while possessing the following additional competences:

 •             Previous on the floor experience of hotel work and standards

•             The ability to train and develop team members

•             The ability to work effectively in a team environment and take initiative

•             Excellent organizational skills and IT literacy

•             Fluency in written and spoken English

•             ‘Train the trainer’ certification and previous Learning & Development experience.


Meeting & Events Coordinator

Forming part of the Sales Team, you will be involved in conducting and attending inspection visits of clients, forming professional relationships and answering to their needs. You will create and coordinate their visits in the hotel by following up on their requests and ensuring a smooth professional hospitality from beginning to end of their journey in our hotel. You will assist and liaise in good communication with the hotel team, for all administrative duties related to their programme in order to guarantee team work throughout.

 General Profile

The selected candidate must have a minimum of two years’ experience in a five star hotel environment, excellent customer care skills, as well as a positive and professional disposition.  You should be highly motivated, enthusiastic and innovative towards providing excellent quality service at all times. IT literacy is a must. Candidates currently undergoing ITS Management Training will also be considered.


General Cashier

As a General Cashier, you will form part of the Finance Department. You will be responsible for ensuring an effective flow of cash within the resort, by performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

 ·         Ensuring all cash floats are in place across the resort

·         Collecting daily cash takings and reconciling them against receipts and accounting system

·         Completing daily reports for the Financial Controller

·         Preparing deposit cash takings to be deposited in the bank on a daily basis

·         Managing the petty cash

 To successfully fill this role, the ideal candidate should maintain the attitude, behaviour, skills and values as follows:

 ·         A high rate of accuracy in all aspects of work

·         Excellent ability with numbers and arithmetic

·         Experience in Sun systems, Micros, and Opera are considered an asset.


REceptionist

Forming part of the Front office team, working on a five-day week basis both day and night shifts, you will be responsible for providing a prompt, efficient and friendly service at the front desk.

General Profile

The selected candidate will have a smart and outgoing personality, ability to multi-task, an eye for detail and able to take ownership of certain situations under the guidance of the Duty Managers. Computer literacy is a must although training will be provided. Previous experience in the hotel industry will be considered an asset.


Chef De Partie

You will report to the Chef Tournant and participate in the production of the day to day running of the Kitchen. You will ensure that highest quality food produced is consistent with cost control, whilst maximising guest satisfaction and profitability. You will ensure your work station is maintained with the HACCP Regulations

 General Profile

The selected candidate would preferably have previous experience in a five star hotel, be creative, cost effective, pay attention to detail and be able to work under pressure. Excellent leadership skills as well as a professional disposition are essential. ITS or equivalent qualifications are essential.


Bartender

Forming part of the Bars Team, you will be expected to provide an efficient and friendly service to our guests, whilst making sure that the bar area is well maintained and stocked.

 General Profile

The selected candidate will have a friendly disposition, be able to work individually as well as part of a team. A good knowledge of bar service and sound waiting experience, as well as a good command of the English language is essential. You will also be required to work flexible hours and have good communication skills.


Chef Tournant

Reporting to the Senior Sous Chef and Sous Chefs, you will participate in the production of the day to day running of the Bistro Kitchen. You will ensure that highest quality food produced is consistent with cost control, whilst maximising guest satisfaction and profitability. You will also be expected to lead your subordinates with flair, creativity and passion for your work.

Excellent leadership skills as well as a professional disposition are essential. ITS or equivalent qualifications are essential.


Security Officer

Reporting to the Head of Security, working on a shift basis, including nights and weekends, you will be responsible for the safety and security of the hotel and its guests. This will involve regular patrolling of the hotel; checking key security issues; escorting people, handling cash or valuable items; monitoring the hotel’s security system; handling emergency situations and other security related matters.

General Profile

This position requires you to have a disciplined character, well-developed communication, interpersonal and decision-making skills and a good command of English, both spoken and written. An ability to work with least supervision as well as tactfulness in handling sensitive situations and guests are also important. You will be in possession of the Security Guard License and have a good knowledge of firefighting and first aid. IT literacy is a must. Experience in similar or related positions would be advantageous


Demi Chef

You will report to the Chef De Partie in the kitchen and participate in the production of the day to day running of your section. You will ensure that highest quality produced is consistent with cost control, whilst maximising guest satisfaction and profitability.

You will ensure your work station is maintained with the Food & Hygiene Handling Regulations in line with HACCP

Shift Technician

Reporting to the Chief Engineer you will work as part of a Team on a shift basis and your main responsibility will be to ensure that any Maintenance related requests are dealt with, in an efficient and professional manner

 General Profile

The selected candidate will preferably have previous experience in a similar position, be a team player and have a positive attitude. You will be ready to be flexible and also work night shifts. The ideal candidate will hold license A.


 
 

front office porter

Forming part of the Front office team, you will be a highly service oriented individual, who will welcome our guests, escort them to their room, and deal with their enquiries on a daily basis.

General Profile

The selected candidate will have a smart and friendly personality, be fluent in English and is willing to work flexible hours. You must be outgoing and have excellent communication skills and computer literacy. Previous experience in the hotel industry will be considered an asset.


food & drink attendants

Forming part of the Food & Drink Team and reporting to your Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will serve food and drink to guests, whilst ensuring service and quality standards are maintained at all times.

General Profile

The selected candidate will have previous service experience, be smart, friendly and have a positive disposition. Fluency in English is a must. Relevant Hospitality Qualification would be considered an asset.
