An opportunity has arisen within our Front Office department for a Receptionist to join our dynamic team at the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Golden Sands.

The Receptionist will be reporting directly to the Front Office Manager and will be trained to deliver a ‘Yes I Can’ service in a way that guests’ expectations are met and exceeded to.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Check-in and Check-out guests in line with hotels policies and procedures as well as brand standards;

  • Manage effectively and efficiently guest requests and other enquiries;

  • Maintain current knowledge of hotel services, special promotional offers, VIP arrivals as well as on-going activities within the Resort;

  • Handle and direct general internal and external calls including taking guests reservations when necessary.

The selected candidate will be expected to demonstrate a genuine and positive ‘Yes I Can’ attitude backed with a solid understanding of guest satisfaction practices and quality standards. He/she must be able to communicate effectively with various stakeholders as well as possess a strong work ethic, ambition and willingness to learn. In addition, applicants for this role should be reliable and able to work flexible shifts. Fluency in English is a must whilst experience within a similar hotel environment will be considered as an asset.

SECURITY OFFICER

Is BLU for you?

In this position one will be responsible for the safety and security of the hotel and its guests. This will involve regular patrols, checking of keys, handling of valuable items, monitoring the hotel security system, first aid and other security related matters.

Working on a shift basis, including night shifts you will need to be disciplined, having good communication and decision-making skills. A good command of the English language, both spoken and written, is needed. One will need to be able to handle sensitive situations in a tactful manner. A Security Guard license is required. Experience in a similar position, knowledge of firefighting and first aid would be considered an asset.

Whilst the position is based at the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Golden Sands, the employment will be registered with Corinthia (Malta) Staff Services Ltd.

STORES PORTER

An opportunity has arisen within our Finance department for a Stores Porter to join our team at the Radisson Blu Resort & Spa, Golden Sands. Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Assist and carry out day to day tasks as requested and assigned by the Head of Stores;

  • Load/unload received items at the loading bay;

  • Stack and transfer incoming goods within the respective stores in pre-designated area;

  • Ensure proper rotation of goods when required;

  • Ascertain proper upkeep, cleanliness and organisation of storerooms;

  • Follow internal procedures related to the proper distribution of goods;

  • Distribute goods to the respective outlets and departments in a timely and efficient manner;

  • Maintain the highest quality and hygiene standards at all times in line with HACCP requirements and regulations, whilst following all safety and security procedures.

The selected candidate must possess good interpersonal and communication skills together with an outgoing and friendly personality. Excellent organisational skills together with an eye for detail are prerequisites for this position whilst a valid food handlers’ licence is a must.
